Shola Special

Doesn't she look great in these little skirts? Shola is my XS/S model. I'm still not sure why this dummy didn't go to the America's Next Top petite model casting here...anyway, smaller skirts coming to the shop this week.

Speaking of lurking...

Oh, you know how things go in the internet. You sign in real quick to check your email and then you click on a link to a video someone sent you and then that reminds you to check up on a blog you found last week and download this one song and...yeah. Nadia E in the Netherlands, you look great in your boyfriend's sweater.

Doing what I do best...

lurking. And strangely enough it wasn't so terribly cold that I couldn't do it sleveless and tightless! Sure, my nose was running by the time I was back in inside, but that's partially due to the other four outfits I shot today. As I was returning from one session, giant wool cardigan over the whole shebang, my neighbor emerged on her porch with an infant and yelled at me to "put a skirt on!" Hahaha. "You mean this one?" I shouted back from my porch, revealing the floral beauty beneath the old man getup while she laughed. Anyway, I guess it's the wetness keeping us snuggly over here in the PNW...

Alien badger in a lady suit!

This might be my favorite skirt of the batch; there was only enough fabric for one! Plus it is a size S/M waist with an inch or two shaved off the bottom due to fabric quantity constraints...yeah, short skirts!

This Doll's House

Oooohhh new skirts and a creepy doll photo shoot are in the works! I just met with Kelty, Hannah and Nadia to give form to our most recent brainchild in conjunction with Shola...in the meantime I leave you with one of my photographic inspirations. Hilde Holta-Lysell is the woman behind Oslostil (if any of you out there are Scandophiles like myself, you might have also spent copious amounts of time checking out what people are wearing in Norway while this blog was still going strong) as well as a multitasking photographer/artist/mom/awesome lady. Strangely enough, she calls her endeavors "A Doll's House" Ibsen? Coincidence? Excellent.

Rosebudding!

I know sometimes you might wonder to yourself, "what the crap could Caitlin possibly be doing besides blogging and posting new dresses on Etsy? WHERE ARE THE NEW DRESSES? It's been SOOOO LONG!" I know friends, I know. Sometimes it take me a while to get my newest stuff photographed and into the shop. Aside from teaching important things like dancing and German to children, I will share with you a little peek at an example of what I might be up to instead, where all those new dresses are going...thanks to Kelly and Steve for putting these clips together!

...then I try and I made them.

Not the girls, dummy. The dresses. See the rest here.
