Always quiet, always collecting...

always improving things...I knew this one needed the collar fixed and a bow right from the start, I just wasn't quite sure how to go about it. Today it just popped out. POP! And let me tell you, I couldn't be more thrilled. This is pretty much everything I love about dresses all rolled into one: slightly fetish but with plenty of class, faded and worn out, and something about that olive green velvet takes me to a world of Emily Dickinson and ghosts in the attic. This might also be because I've been giving Emily Dickinson some thought lately...not her poetry, but her existence. I am bemused by the stuffily feminine notion of secluding herself from society to sit in her room at write poetry. I am impressed with the eccentricity of existing secretly and conducting social relations through the post...or online if we are to catupult this concept into the 2000's. Possibly I ponder such things because I spend the majority of my mornings and early afternoons creeping about in my basement...and I like it.

BLAZERS!

Sorry, I couldn't help it. We got 'em. Figured it out, shut them down. Even Shane Battier's smarts, Yao's size/accuracy and Artest and Brooks and Von Wafer's shooting couldn't keep us down tonight. Boom. Brandon on fire. LaMarcus is back. Oden and Przybilla double trouble. Rip City, friends. Rip City.

THANK YOU!

To all the lovely ladies who made our photo shoot last Saturday such a great success. Covered in frosting and amped on caffeine, we made it happen. Kelty, Emily, Shola, Lorraine and Hannah: muchas gracias.

(it's okay, I can go by myself, it's just...you said you were picking me up, so I wore heels)

Little bit of this coming your way soon...

Coming soon...

spring. And possibly some fresh faces to model my newest dresses? This week is spring break for the kiddies, which means sewing time for me. So far three garments, a belt and my very first peter pan collar have ensued...don't worry, they'll be available on Etsy shortly.

Dear Mr. West,

I like your latest album because it is acerbic and tender and has a well-crafted auditory texture. I like you because you always do what Kan wants, and Kan has good taste even when he's upset. I thought it was nice that at the end of your concert you reminded us that even though you spend hours dancing around unaccompanied in artistic asymmetrical hoodies on complicated tilted stage outer space sets singing and rapping about your own greatness, you are still a human being who is sad about his mother dying. And that dancing around in artistic asymmetrical hoodies on complicated tilted stage outer space sets singing and rapping about your own greatness might also seem kind of silly, but it's what you like doing. Thank you for just getting out there and making it happen. You're doing a wonderful job of being you.

Sincerely,

Caitlin

P.S. The very first time I saw you, you were shooting lasers balancing on one hand wearing a cardigan and high tops in a really excellent magazine I used to buy in Germany, and I thought you were cool.
